Today

As I sit in this forced air-cooled office I find myself day dreaming about the heat warming the soles of my feet.

Walking across the grass I feel the blades slip between my toes.

I can hear the the flowers bloom and the aphids are playing hide and seek with the lady bugs.

The wind is whipping the stars and stripes like a puppy with it's favorite toy.

My only wish at this point if for the seconds to turn into minutes and those into the hour.

Alas, it will be me and the sunshine warming hearts of those we pass.
